To all our new folks, welcome to Employment First Georgia! I’m pleased to announce we have so many people on the list that we’re looking into starting a listserv. A few updates to share…
- We are still awaiting the appointment of our Employment First legislative study committee. (There are more study committees than usual this year so it’s taking a while.) - Our legislative support committee had a brainstorming session a few weeks ago, and our communication committee is having a brainstorming session next month to generate ideas for videos. Let me know if you want to join either of these groups. Also in the works: a redesign of the Employment First Georgia website.
- YOUR HELP NEEDED – we want stories!! Stories about people with disabilities and their experiences in the working world – folks who are working, folks who aren’t working but are interested, folks who tried working, etc. We created this short survey to gather stories: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/PN2GS5W
