One of the ways the SILC works towards achieving the mission and objectives outlined in the SPIL is by collaborating with other advocates and organizations.  The SILC has served as fiscal sponsor for a number of small, grassroots organizations working towards goals that align with the SILC’s vision of equal participation by people with disabilities in their communities.

Georgia Health News is an independent news organization devoted to covering health care in the state. We are serious about our independence and are not affiliated with any political party, special interest organization or activist group. Our mission is to fill the widening gap in media coverage by creating a substantive website that will provide crucial information about health care in Georgia. GHN will feature original stories and an informative, timely blog written by longtime health journalist Andy Miller. Georgia Health News will also post health articles written by other media outlets and offer a resource guide for Georgia consumers to help them navigate an increasingly complex health care system.   www.georgiahealthnews.com
